Description

Folios 220-221: John Draper, HMS Weymouth, Island of Firnando. Reports arrival on 13 December with the Duke of Montrose and Lord Hawksbury East Indiaman under his convoy for the purpose of watering. The Baring and Airly Castle East Indiamen parted company with him on 12 November 1805, latitude and longitude given. Obtained intelligence form Henry Menou, Master of the Brilliant, which he immediately communicated to the Commander of the East India Ships. Encloses details of the signals of precaution he made to the convoy, the reports of the Officers of the First and Middle Watch and HMS Weymouth's log.

Folios 222-223: enclosure with folios 220-221. John Draper, HMS Weymouth. Signals made by HMS Weymouth from the Signal Book of the East India Company to the convoy between 11 and 12 November 1805.

Folio 224: enclosure with folios 220-221. Memo addressed to HMS Euphrates to be opened on HMS Diadem's signal.

Folio 225: enclosure with folios 220-221. Home Riggs Popham, HMS Diadem, Funchal Roads, 29 September 1805. Instructions on where to rendeyvous if they part company from the convoy.

Folio 226: enclosure with folios 220-221. Envelope for folio 225.

Folio 227: enclosure with folios 220-221. Memo addressed to HMS Northumberland to be opened on HMS Diadem's signal.

Folio 228: enclosure with folios 220-221. Envelope for folio 224.

Folios 229-230: enclosure with folios 220-221. Home Riggs Popham, HMS Diadem, Funchal Roads, 29 September 1805. Instructions on where to rendeyvous if they part company from the Convoy.

Folios 231-232: enclosure with folios 220-221. Statement of particulars which occurred on the evening of 12 November 1805 between 10 and 12 PM made by the W Kent, Second Lieutenant, John Rootes, Third Lieutenant and John Draper, Captain of HMS Weymouth.

Folios 233-234: enclosure with folios 220-221. John Draper, HMS Weymouth. Remarks on board HMS Weymouth on Monday 11 November 1805 and Tuesday 12 November 1805.
