Description

Folios 130-131: Philip Dumaresq, HMS Charwell, St Aubins Bay. Encloses a copy of the letter sent to the Principal Officers and Commissioners of His Majesty's Navy reporting the bad condition of the ship and requesting for it to be docked.

Folios 132-133: enclosure with folios 130-131. Letter dated 16 December 1804 by Philip Dumaresq, HMS Charwell, St Aubins Bay to the Principal Officers and Commissioners of His Majesty's Navy. Reports the problems he is experiencing with the condition of his ship and cites examples, particularly his last cruise on the French coast in October and November.
