Folios 87-88: Thomas Dundas, HMS Naiad, at Sea. Encloses a copy of a letter he has sent to Sir Richard Calder and also intelligence he received yesterday from the American Ship Olive Branch. Adds that since Cadiz and St Lucar have been in a state of blockade, the French Agents at Bordeaux send their supplies to the small port of Ayamonte and from there it is sent in small cargo along shore to Cadiz.
Folio 89: enclosure with folios 87-88. Intelligence got by the Olive Branch, American Ship from Bordeaux bound to the Spanish Port of Ayamonte with flour on 4 June 1805.
Folio 90: enclosure with folios 87-88. Letter dated 5 June 1805 by Thomas Dundas, HMS Naiad, at sea, to Sir Robert Calder, Vice Admiral of the Blue. Reports cruizing to the South West of Cape Finisterre and boarding several vessels loaded with flour from Bordeaux, bound to the ports near Cadiz. He has observed that these shipments are made only by Messrs Laclotte and Lamargue, consigned to P Colomb and Son of St Lucar, which from intelligence he understands to be Agents of the French Government. Therefore he concludes that not only are these meant to supply the enemy forces but also generate large sums of money from there sale.
