Folios 68-69: George Dundas, HMS Elephant, Yarmouth. Reports that two young men, Frederick William Davis and James Ferguson, serving as Midshipman, are both idle, drunk and in every sense incorrect for service. Asks what steps he should take. States that Frederick William Davis was drafted from HMS Inflexible and he passed his examination at the Navy Office Board six or eight months previously.
