Folios 255-256: Michael Dod, HMS Galgo, Nore. States that Joseph Field, Purser of HMS Galgo is in a real bad state of health and reported unfit for duty at sea. As he requires change of diet and air. He has also to state that he is totally unfit for his situation as Purser as he knows nothing of his duty, does not keep any accounts. Requests the appointment of a Purser to supercede him.
