Folios 251-252: Michael Dod, HMS Galgo, Nore. Covering letter for the enclosed from Charles Morgan his Sergeant of Royal Marines, in whom it was ordered a Court of Inquiry upon, when HMS Galgo was last at Yarmouth, in consequence of his having absented himself from duty without leave. Ashe has not received any directions relative to him, as it is the Surgeons and his opinion that he should go to the Hospital from his bad state of health (which though not dangerous it will not allow him to do any sort of duty for some time to come). Requests to know, whether he will be permitted to forgive and release him from confinement, he being at present a Prisoner at large.
Folios 253-254: enclosure with folios 251-252. Letter dated 19 February 1804 by Charles Morgan, Sergeant Royal Marines, to Captain Michael Dod. He is sorry that any thing of the kind should happen whilst he was at Yarmouth and he hopes you will be pleased to look over it this time and he shall take particular care that nothing of the kind shall ever happen again. Being most able to do my duty likewise.
