Folios 220-221: John Dilkes, HMS Salvador del Mundo. Reply to letter dated 22 August 1804 requiring the circumstances in the case of Rene Hingant, French Pilot. Reports that he never complained of any disease or illness to the Surgeon of HMS Salvador del Mundo (except a slight rupture), that in consequence of his staying on shore contrary to the rules established in the ship he was checked for eighteen days and that he never could show sufficient reason to remove that check.
