Description

Folios 568-569: Sir James Dunbar, 22 Arundel Street. Reqesting an appeal to the Admiralty because the Navy Board has made a charge against him for £22 7s 10d which he approved as payment for the chaplain Reverend William Wright. James Dunbar is Acting Captain of HMS Assistance in 1798 following the death of Captain Mowat at sea.

Folios 570-571: enclosure with folios 568-569. Letter dated 22 June by the Navy Office to James Dunbar. They are unable to refund Captain Dunbar without the approval of the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty.
