Description

Folios 283-284: Henry Digby, Manchester Square. Letter received from Thomas Williams respecting the state of the elderly bearer of 73 years.

Folio 285: enclosure with folios 283-284. Thomas Williams and H. Digby. References from the captains of HMS Endymion and HMS Resistance for Philip Dalby. Recommending him for Greenwich Hospital. His actual name is McDermont and he has served on HMS Dolphin, HMS Endymion, HMS Cleopatra, on the books as Darby and then Dalby.
