Folios 700-701: William Durban, HMS Weazle at sea.
Refers to the enclosed description of two seamen who deserted to the enemy in the ship's jolly boat leaving the lieutenant, surgeon, midshipman and pilot with two seamen on the rocks at the Isle Grande. They had been sent to catch fish while HMS Weazle was blocking the entrance to the river [?]L'Anion.
Folios 702-703: enclosed with folios 700-701. John White and John Black are described in detail. Both men were sent on board by the civil power in Guernsey on 27 April 1801 after a dispute that happened on the Nile privateer. He believes that they intended to return to Guernsey where they were well known. Seamen Thomas Fairley and Francis Eves know more about White and Black.
