Description

Folios 369-370: Clarke & Halford, Beaufort Buildings.

Write that the accounts of Manley Dixon for HMS Lion are complete except for the victualling department. They mention the previous letter of August 1800 stating that Mr Dale the Purser had been dismissed by a court martial in June 1898 and no certificate was obtained. Ask that the need for the certificate be dispensed with so that Manley Dixon may receive his pay.
