Folios 345-346: Manley Dixon. HMS Genereux, Port Mahon.
The Right Honourable Lord Robert, Secretary of State, told Lieutenant General Henry Edward Fox to send part of the army to Egypt. Dixon organised a convoy under Captain George Cockburn on HMS Minerva carrying 2,000 troops which sailed on 23 June 1801. The brig HMS Kangaroo accompanied.
