Description

Folios 283-284: Manley Dixon, HMS Genereux, Port Mahon.

Reports that HMS Phoebe will leave for Gibraltar the following day and HMS Salamine for Malta and Egypt. Sixteen sail have been seen from Mount Toro and are hoped to be an overdue convoy of store ships. Since HMS Speedwell sailed nothing has occurred. Anticipates that Rear Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren is at the rendezvous north of Ajaccio having left Naples and Dixon hopes to join the admiral when repairs to HMS Genereux are completed. March 21 1801, reports that HMS Serapis, HMS Chichester and HMS Woolwich have arrived while HMS Seahorse is seeing the convoy in. HMS Chichester will sail to Malta having taken a cargo of provisions from HMS Woolwich.
