Folio 282: Manley Dixon, HMS Genereux, Port Mahon. Refers to enclosure concerning Captain Robert Barlow of HMS Phoebe but it is missing. HMS Genereux is being repaired and then Dixon is ordered to join Rear Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren. He reports that officers and men of L'Africaine sailed for Toulon on 8 March 1801. Captain Shuldham Peard is already exchanged and it is hoped that crews of HMS Success, HMS Incendiary and HMS Sprightly will soon be exchanged. He describes the French squadron seen at Toulon by Captain Samuel James Ballard of HMS Pearl. HMS Phoebe and convoy will sail on 22 March 1801 and will sail to Plymouth from Gibraltar.
