Folios 274-275: Manley Dixon, HMS Genereux, Port Mahon.
HE Lieutenant General Henry Edward Fox states that the French general and officers from L'Africaine, together with some of the men, should be sent to Toulon. Dixon proposes sending them on parole in flags of truce. One such brought Captain Shuldham Peard. It is hope that the officers and men of HMS Success, HMS Incendiary and HMS Sprightly will be exchanged.
