Folios 250-251: John Dixon, HMS Africa, Sheerness. Reports that Thomas Johnson, Able Seaman currently on HMS Hospital Ship Africa, entered on board HMS Prince Frederick at the Cape of Good Hope, as confirmed by the enclosed certificate, but has not received the bounty, which was received by the other men who enlisted at the same time. Requests it is paid. He is now 34 years old and enlisted on 27 September 1796.
Folio 252: enclosure with folios 250-251. Richard Haggerfield, First Lieutenant, HMS Prince Frederick. Certifies that Thomas Johnson served as an Able Seaman under the command of Edward Ramage and is entitled to the bounty.
