Folios 182-183: Stephen Thomas Digby, HMS Hecla, Sheerness. Reports that Mr Chappel, late acting Purser of HMS Snake, who was appointed to HMS Hecla on 15 October, has not yet joined. As the ship needs many stores belonging to his department, requests appointment of another Purser, or measures to make Mr Chappel join HMS Hecla. If another is appointed, would like to recommend Mr Woodward Wilson, the person Admiral Graeme has chosen to take charge of the stores, who is a very deserving officer and is on the spot.
