Folios 239-240: John Erskine Douglas, HMS Boston, Portsmouth Harbour. Having received directions from the Admiralty to put myself under command of Captain [Thomas] Wolley of HMS Arethusa after the repairs necessary to HMS Boston have been completed and Captain [Thomas] Wolley being in Port and HMS Boston wanting nothing to fit her for sea but the course of her painting which will soon be finished. I request confirmation of the order in relation to Captain [Thomas] Wolley.
