Folios 185-186: Billy Douglas, HMS Sandwich, [Chatham]. Wrote Sunday last hoping you would state to their Lordships the General of Royal Marines had informed me that he proposed to send a Field Officer on board the Prison Ships to inspect the Royal Marines serving in them. As he understands it he cannot admit such visits on board HMS Sandwich unless he has directions from their Lordships. Requests to let him know by return of post if he is directed that he allows the Field Officer to visit these ships.
