Folios 143-144: John William [Taylor] Dixon, HMS Princess Royal, Mahon. Reports that Jeremiah Daly, Seaman of HMS Princess Royal, having stated to him that he entered with Admiral [Robert] Kingsmill at Cork on 6 February 1797 and is entitled to £10 Bounty for the City of Cork) for entering into His Majesty's Service, the said sum was paid on board the Sheerness Tender to those who had entered with him, before they sailed from Cork, when he was sick on board HMS L'Engageante [Engageante] Hospital Ship. On his recovery he was sent to Spithead in a Prize without receiving the said Bounty. He also requested him to apply to you for pay merit being made of the said Bounty and to be assigned to his Father, John Daly, Labourer, living in Chapel Lane in Bandon, County of Cork, Ireland. Requests this be investigated.
