Folios 96-97: Archibald Collingwood Dickson, HMS Veteran. Nore. Covering letter for the enclosed letter from the Boatswain of HMS Veteran pointing out his inability of continuing in an active employ, during the time he had the honour to command HMS Veteran his general conduct has been such that he could wish to give him every countenance in his power in order to attain his wished for point, namely a ship building or superannuation. Recommends his request is complied with. Recommend Phoebus Maunder, Boatswain of HMS Cerberus as a replacement.
Folio 98: enclosure with folios 96-97. Letter dated 17 September 1799 by [?], Boatswain, HMS Veteran, the Great Nore to Captain Archibald Collingwood Dickson, HMS Veteran. [Statement on his health] Has held a warrant since 18 September 1780.
