Folios 84-85: John Dick, HMS Discovery, Nore. Covering letter for the enclosed [not included] letter from Mr Phillips, late Boatswain of HMS Discovery, who was superceded from her about six weeks ago, on account of illness and he was sent to sick quarters at Sheerness and not appointed to any other ship. States that during the twelve months he served under his command he behaved himself as a diligent and good Officer.
