Folios 73-74: George Augustus Delance, HMS Ann, Harwich. Having been commanded by Lord [Adam] Duncan to send a statement in the case of Thomas Atkins, calling himself an American. States such a man is on HMS Ann, he says he was born at Marble Heath, is 23 and never married. He came one of a draft from HMS Zealand and was pressed from on board the Matilda on a flag of truce some time in August 1799. Requests to be informed if these men can be considered as Volunteers and as such entitled to Bounty.
