Folio 211: George Elliott, HMS Hussar, Penang. Reports John Terry, Pursers Steward, was noted on the ship's books as deserted in March and April 1813 but was found to have only been absent from his duty for three days. Sir Samuel Hand ordered that money should be taken from his wages (straggling money) and the books noted accordingly.
