Folios 463-464: John Eveleigh, HMS Jasper, Spithead. Encloses copy of Orders and a log of proceedings and confirms arrived off Oporto on 16 March, stayed until 17th without being joined by any part of the Trade. With the wind shifting to south west and blowing a gale, making it impossible for anything to pass the Bar moved up to Vigo to complete the water, returning on 5 April. Left Oporto on 6th, with 22 sail under convoy. Brought all to Spithead, except those bound for ports in the west and five who deserted the convoy, list of which is also enclosed (not with letter). States that Henry Willmot[?] and John Davis, Seaman, deserted from the HMS Dotterel, were sent on board by the Consul at Oporto having been taken up at Vigo. The convoy was supplied off Scilly with provision by the Rota. The Jasper's foremast being sprung encloses list of her defects.

Folios 466-467: enclosure with folios 463-464.Order of George Cranfield Berkely, HMS Barfleur in the Tagus, 28 February 1812. To proceed to Oporto, taking the Trade which may be there and proceed with them to the Downes, then return to Spithead and inform Admiralty of your arrival and await further orders. To give to the Master of each vessel in the convoy the notice contained in the enclosed Memorandum {not with Order) and transmit to him from Oporto a list of the convoy.
