Folios 432-433: Thomas Eyles, Portsmouth. States that Lawrence Quinshaw had been his Clerk since he took command of the Plantagenet and has remained in that capacity for his successor Robert Lloyd. As will be seen from enclosed Certificate (not with letter) believes he is deserving of promotion to Purser from his long service and good conduct.
Confirms Lawrence Quinshaw has been in the service upwards ten years and requests the enclosed is returned to Mr Quinshaw on board the Plantagenet.
