Folios 398-399: John Edgcumbe, late Captain HMS Psyche, Portsmouth. Confirms been informed by Admiral Sir Roger Curtis that the Admiralty cannot comply with request to discharge his servant, George Shapcott, Landsman, who returned with him in the Caroline. States he is willing to find a substitute and deposit sum of money as their Lordships may direct in order to effect his discharge.
