Folios 174-175: Robert England, HM Armed Ship Humber, Falmouth. Confirms receipt of Admiralty letter of 31 July enclosing letter from Captain Slade of HMS Experiment. Encloses Lieutenant Gettings's statement with regard to Thomas Renwick, a Seaman belonging to the Urania Transport and copy of letter from Captain MacKenzie of HM Sloop Zenobia. States that the Master of the Urania Transport only made application with regard to the Seaman when he received instructions from Captain MacKenzie, Commander of the convoy.
Folios 176-177: enclosure with folios 174-175. Alexander Richard MacKenzie, HM Sloop Zenobia, Falmouth dated 28 July 1810 to Robert England, Commander of HM Armed Ship Humber. Encloses letter from Master of Urania Transport informing him he is four Seamen and a Mate short of his complement and has one of his men onboard the Humber. Requests instructions on how to act.
Folios 178-179: enclosure with folios 174-175. Statement of Lieutenant Henry Gettings of HM Armed Ship Humber in taking Thomas Renwick, a Seaman, from on board the Urania Transport dated 25 July 1810. States he was sent on board the Urania Transport by the First Lieutenant, then Commanding Officer, as a man belonging to the Transport had hailed the boat. The Master of the Transport, pointed to Thomas Renwick, who wanted to go on board the Humber. If he had not arrived he would sent him to HM Brig Zenobia as a mutineer. The Master ordered the man to get his clothes and go into the boat, he would pay him his wages the next day, having no cash on board at the time.
