Folios 137-138: Robert Evans, HMS Satellite off Crooked Island. On 14 February HMS Rainbow and Avon Brig took action against a French frigate, full of troops, under Cape Tiberon. It is thought the frigate had been chased by the English Squadron from Guadalupe and prevented from going through the Mona Passage by the Polyphemus. When the Rainbow and Avon fell in with her it is thought she was on her way to France going through the Gulph (Gulf] of Florida. Believed she will call somewhere for water and refit as Rainbow and Avon attacked her mast and rigging.
