Folios 131-132: Robert Evans, HMS Satellite, Crooked Islands. Refers to the Lady Pellew Packet which is in his charge to see through the Windward Passage. On 15 February spoke to Captain Fraser, HM Brig Avon, who stated that the previous evening joined the Rainbow in chase of a French frigate full of troops at Cape Tiburon. Thinks frigate intending to land troops at Guadaloupe but chased by English squadron and prevented from going through Mona Passage by the Polyphomus which understands is cruising there. HMS Helder is crusiing between Cape Maize and Cape Nicolas Mole. Believes the French frigate is making her way to France and will go through the Gulph [Gulf of Florida]and stop at places for water, which she will need with all the troops on board. According to Captain Fraser she was"cut up a good deal" in her masts and rigging, she had 13 ports aside and 24 pounders on her Main Deck.
