Folios 123-125: William Elliott, HMS Hazard, Plymouth Sound. Confirms arrived this morning from the Island of Guadeloupe from which he sailed on 11 February. Order of Admiral Sir Alexander Cochrane to bring Captain Stanfell bearing his despatches of the surrender of the island, Captain Welby bearing the despatches of Lt General Sir George Beckwith and Lieutenant Colonel D'Alerymare [?], French office who is charged with despatches for France. Captain Stanfell and Welby landed at Mounts Bay on 12 March and assumes despatches will now have reached the Admiralty. The French Officer will remain on board until orders received from Admiralty.
