Folios 268-269: William Edge, Sea Fencibles, Aldborough. He has been inspecting the signal stations. He reports that their blue lamps do not burn long enough to enable other signal stations to be alerted. He also reports that the men at the Customs House at Orford have refused to help him by allowing the use of their boat.
