Folios 275-276: Sampson Edwards, HMS Saint George, off Brest. Reports that Thomas Witmarch, a Corporal of the marines on HMS Saint George, is a drunkard and unfit for office. He has been sent tot he ranks, and Captain Edwards requests that he is allowed to derate him.
