Folios 271-272: Sampson Edwards, HMS Saint George, Cawsand Bay. Following an order from Lord Bridport, he reports on the case of Matthew Wxidnar, said to be a Prussian, who states he was pressed from the Alexandra, a West Indiaman, by HMS Alarm in April 1795, and drafted from her into HMS Majestic. He came on board HMS Saint George from HMS Majestic on 28 November 1799. He states he is not married or settled in England and did not receive the King's bounty.
