Folios 493-494: Charles Elphinstone Fleeming, HMS Diomede, Long Reach. the person whose Indenture is enclosed was brought on board by Lieutenant Hurdis at the request of John Fairles, Master of the Kent Collier.
Folio 495: enclosure in folios 493-494. Affidavit dated 16th May 1798 sworn at the Public Office, Shadwell that Peter Johnson of South Shields, Mariner, was the Master of the Kent belonging to Newcastle and burthen 365 tons and Elisha Worral bound to serve at sea to John Fairley of Westoe near Jarrow and as he was coming off Greenhithe, an officer from HMS Diomede boarded and impressed Elisha Worral.
