Folio 586: enclosure with folios 584-585. Return of Offences and Punishments on board HMS Bucephalus between 1 October 1814 and 31 December 1814 from Captain George William Hughes D'Aeth [Daeth]. Remarks note that besides soldiers on board there are 180 Supernumeraries received at Plymouth sound to complete the ship['s company on the American station, men of extremely bad character whose conduct was generally infamous. With the small establishment of Officers in a troop ship he would have been unable to maintain any kind of discipline without frequent Punishments being inflicted.
