Folios 574-575: Man [Mann] Dobson, Regulating Captain, Bristol. He is enclosing a letter from Andrew Pop, Master of the Society of Merchants at Bristol, asking to have their 13 Watermen at Pill protected in place of 13 who are dead or have gone into the Customs and Excise service, for whom a quota had bee given by an order of 2 August 1813.
Folios 576-577: enclosure with folios 574-575. Letter dated 22 May 1815 from Andrew Pope, Master of the Society of Merchants, Bristol, to Mann Dobson. he encloses a list of registered Watermen [not now enclosed] who are substituted for protection in place of those against their names.
