Folios 570-571: Edward Dix, HMS Menelaus, Spithead. In support of his request to be sent a Commission for HMS Menelaus, he is enclosing a letter.
Folios 572-573: enclosure with folios 570-571. Copy of letter dated 7 April 1815 from Rear Admiral George Cockburn, HMS Albion, Bermuda, to Edward Dix, Captain of HMS Menelaus. He is sending him the general order to be made public to all those under his command and thanks him for his assistance during th operations referred to and assures him of his unfeigned regard.
