Folios 289-290: Man Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Enclosing the case of William Sleeman, late mate of the Brothers as stated by Lieutenant William Pitman that the man was sent to Plymouth 22 March 1814 by HMS Resolute.
Folio 291: enclosure with folios 289-290. Letter dated 6 April 1814 by William Pitman, Impress service to Man Dobson. Stating that William Sleeman was stopped by George Lewis and Stephen Osborne 28 February 1814 as he left the Champion of Wales, public house. He claimed to be the mate of the Brothers but had no protection on hime so was sent on board HMS Enchantress as a fit subject for the navy.
Folios 292-293: enclosure with folios 289-290. Petition of William Sleeman, late mate of the sloop Brothers of [Coomb?] wherof Tobias Dallin is master with reasons why he should not be impressed.
