Folios 276-277: Man [Mann] Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Covering letter in the case of Benjamin Morgan, said to be an apprentice as stated by Lieutenant James Campbell, with a protection granted by their Lordships. This young man born in Haverford West and bound apprentice at Cork appears to be much older than his description in the protection and he has no doubt he has been at sea for a considerable time, indeed William Bulley, the Master said he would not a positive affidavit that he had not been to sea before he was bound.
Folios 278-279: enclosure with folios 276-277. Letter dated 1 October 1813 by William Bulley, Master of the Brig Steady of Dartmouth, to the Admiralty. States that Benjamin Morgan who was granted a protection dated 23 January 1813 for three years has today been impressed, on application to Mann Dobson Esq, the regulating Officer for his release he refused. Request he be released.
Folio 280: enclosure with folios 276-277. Letter dated 3 October 1813 by James Campbell, Bristol, to Man [Mann] Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Report on the impressment of Benjamin Morgan (includes description).
