Folios 264-265: Man Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Covering letter in the case of William Mansfield, said to be an apprentice. Although bound in January 1812, has no doubt this is a second apprenticeship.
Folio 266: enclosure with folios 264-265. Letter dated 2 October 1813 by Lieutenant William Pitman, Bristol, to Man Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Report on the impressment of William Mansfield.
Folios 267-268: enclosure with folios 264-265. Letter dated 29 September 1813 by Hannah Mansfield, 52 Broad Quay, Bristol, to the Admiralty. States that his son William Mansfield was impressed on 27 September 1813 from the ship Ocean, George Clatson, Master, to whom he was an apprentice but being upwards of eighteen cannot be claimed as his apprentice. Request his discharge by paying such a sum of money thought proper.
