Folios 244-245: Man Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Covering letter in the case of John Hagley, said to be an apprentice, as stated by Lieutenant William Pitman which is correct. It appears the young man is about twenty two years of age and he thinks has been to sea previous to this indenture which states him to be eighteen. Neither Mr Fisher nor the present Master of the vessel would make affidavit that he had not been to sea before.
Folios 246-247: enclosure with folios 244-245. Letter dated 21 September 1813 by Osburn & Ward, Bristol,to the Admiralty. States that John Hagley recently impressed by the inclosed indenture [not included] was bound to Samuel Fisher, Mariner on 19 October 1811 for a term of 3 years which has not expired. Request he be discharged.
