Folios 240-241: Man Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Covering letter in the case of John Parker a Boy who entered on board HMS Enchantress as per Lieutenant Joshua Latimer Rowe's statement, it also appears from the inclosed Baptism Certificate that he is not 13 until next November. Requests an order for his discharge as per the request from his Master.
Folio 242: enclosure with folios 240-241. Baptism certificate for John son of Thomas and Elizabeth Parker in the parish of Sr. Philip and Jacob in Bristol dated 27 December 1801.
Folio 243: enclosure with folios 240-241. Letter dated 28 September 1813 by Lieutenant Joshua Latimer Rowe, HMS Enchantress, to Man Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Statement that John Parker, Boy aged about 14, volunteered onboard HMS Enchantress on 20 September 1813, he says he is not an apprentice but that he worked at a Glass house before he volunteered.
