Folios 234-235: Richard Plummer Davies, HMS Garland, Portsmouth. William Payne, Seaman of HMS Garland having returned to England in HMS Cyanne [HMS Cyane] and being desirous of availing himself of the liberty granted to seamen who have been upwards of three years abroad. Requests directions be given for his being paid one third of his pay and allowed a fortnights leave of absence.
