Folios 179-180: Man Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Covering letter in the case of Eleaza de la Rue, pretended Master of the Venus, as stated by Lieutenant William Pitman.
Folios 181-182: enclosures with folios 179-180. Letter dated 15 September 1813 by Mr L J F Alexander, Bristol, to the Admiralty. As agent for the Ship Venus he states that Captain Eleazar de la Rue of the ship Venus was impressed on 13 September 1813. He is the true Master as endorsed by the Ships Register dated 6 January 1813, signed by H M Collector & Controller of the Customs here.
Folios 183: enclosure with folios 179-180. Letter dated 18 September 1813 by Lieutenant William Pitman, Bristol, to Man Dobson, Regulating Officer, Bristol. Report on the impressment of Eleaza de la Rue who was impressed on 15 September 1813 out of the Venus along side the quay. [Mentions a John Adamson calling himself the Owner of the Venus].
