Folios 483-484: Man Dobson, Bristol Regulating Officer. Says George Edwards, Able Seaman was impressed by HMS Ann tender out of the West India Convoy and sent to Plymouth. Says he was active and healthy and his isn’t disadvantaged by having lost of part of his thumb.
Folios 485-486: enclosed in folios 483-484. Letter dated 8 July 1813 by Margaret Edwards, 7 Castle Street, Bristol, Petitioning for her brother impressed and onboard HMS Enchantress 27 June. Says he cannot be of much use as he has lost his right hand thumb. Will pay thirty pounds of hard earned savings for his discharge.
