Folios 226-227: Benjamin Carter, Regulating Officer, Liverpool. He reports on the cases of James Barker and Philip Quirk who were impressed at Liverpool. He further reports on the cases of James Duck, Walter Carr, Richard Maxey and James Remer in response to enquiries raised by Admiral Young.
Folios 228-229: enclosed with folios 226-227. Letter dated 29 March 1810 by James Thorne, Liverpool. He asks for the discarge of James Barker, Mate, the Albion of Workington, Richard Thompson, Master. He encloses an affidavit in support of his request.
Folios 230-231: enclosed with folios 226-227. Affidavit sworn before John Clarke, Mayor of Liverpool, by Hugh Carey, John Berry and Thomas Bone regarding the impressment of James Barker.
Folios 232-233: enclosed with folios 226-227. Letter dated 30 March 1810 by William Young, Admiral, HMS Salvadore del Mondo, Plymouth. He forwards a letter [not present] received from James Duck, Walter Carr, Richard Maxey and James Remer in which they claim that they were illegally impressed at Liverpool while they were Mates aboard their respective vessels.
