Folios 220-221: William Charleton, Regulating Officer, North Shields. He reports on the case of William Cravie who was impressed from the Eliza, John Matheson, Master. William Cravie was the Mate of the ship, but his protection was not viewed as being valid as John Matheson was not named on the register on the date William Cravie was appointed.
Folios 222-223: enclosed with folios 220-221. Letter dated 26 March 1810 by Ralph Gordon, Aberdeen. He encloses an affidavit confirming that William Cravie was the Mate of the Eliza.
Folios 224-225: enclosed with folios 220-221. Affidavit sworn by Ralph Gordon and James Mackie, part owners of the Eliza and by John Matteson, Master, in the presence of William Copeland, J.P. They affirm that William Cravie is the Mate of the Eliza.
