Folios 602-603: Robert Corbet, HMS Bourbonnaise, Hamoaze. States that the enclosed Protection certificate for George Barnard and the description on it do not fit the man that is on board his ship and explains why he did not forward the Protection Certificate earlier.
Folio 604: enclosure with folios 602-603. Admiralty Record Office slip dated 8 March 1810 showing letter from Captain Robert Corbet referred to the Solicitor regarding an application for compensation for the impressed George Barnard, said to be an Apprentice.
Folios 605-606: enclosure with folios 602-603. P Courteen, No 32 Walbrook, London to Robert Corbet, Royal Navy, Blakes Hotel, Jermyn St, St James', 22 February 1810. Application for compensation in consequence of the Navy taking his Apprentice George Barnard in 1806 whilst lying at Madeira, as instructed by Captain Robert Walker. If the claim cannot be met, requests details of their Solicitor to take the matter further.
