Folios 575-576: Benjamin Carter, Regulating Captain, Liverpool. Response to a request to state the case of two men who were imprest. Tyler Dibble, aged 26, was impressed by Lieutenant James Rees on 18 January 1810. He was born at St Johns, New Brunswick and said he was Mate of the Only son. He was taken on shore after 8 o'clock at night. James McCartey, aged 33, was imprest by Lieutenant Henry Freeman Young Pogson on 29 November 1809. He said he was born in New York. He produced a Protection Certificate that had been altered to fit his age and he had a strong Irish accent.
Folios 577-578: enclosure with folios 575-576. John Hawkes, Plymouth to the Admiralty, 22 February 1810. Request to provide substitutes in the place of Tyler Dibblee [Tyler Dibble] an American seaman on board HMS Salvadore Del Mundo and McKellar, a carpenter on board HMS Temeraire.
Folio 579: enclosure with folios 575-576. American Protection Certificate issued by the district of New York for James McCarty, dated 5 June 1800 and signed by David Gelston, Collector.
